IT Expert is responsible for the maintenance and deployment for the overall infrastructure support systems and services, coordinating environment changes as needed by multiple Business-Critical application systems implementation projects.

Responsibilities include the planning of actions/milestones, the coordination of local projects and efforts of team members and third party contractors, the monitoring of progress to ensure project completion, conform to quality, time and budgetary requirements. The IT expert is responsible for the overall coordination at Local level of the centralized Service Desk. The Service Desk provides a single point of contact to all users within the organization for all service requests in respect of IT equipment, hardware failures, user access rights, daily operational issues and first level of problem and incident management support.


Supervise efficient working of Local IT staff and prepare orientation programs for all new employees and ensure compliance to all deadlines and provide upgrade to all systems as per requirement.

Execute Sensata IT policies and procedures to design IT infrastructures and maintain compliance to all standards and policies and administer efficient working of all IT equipments and hardware and manage all communication with operation management team.

Oversee efficient working of Local IT personnel and maintain knowledge on all job functions and administer all business requirements and ensure achievement of all business objectives.

Administer project list and prioritize all work and determine an effective departmental budgets and maintain and recommend improvements to all manufacturing systems and ensure profitability of all processes.

Project lead for key local and regional initiatives and projects

Liaison to country management including communication and coordination for key business initiatives and priorities

Ensure the pro-active management of the IT Infrastructure activities (capacity planning, problem solving related to servers, network, and security) and of exploitation systems in order to guarantee an optimal IT support for the operations.

Provide on-call support as part of rotating team coverage.
Work with vendors and other technical personnel to identify and resolve problems and malfunctions and perform repair

Implement process improvement initiatives, risk analysis and remediation planning and ensure the proactive monitoring and control of environment to preempt any service issue

Maintain competency in related technologies, including operating systems, associated tools and sub-systems.

Responsible for backup and disaster recovery measures

Coordinate the documentation of the existing network infrastructure and procedures as well as upcoming design changes

Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.

Coordinate the support for the daily tasks and operations to ensure an optimal maintenance on a day-to-day basis

  • Coordinate the user escalations, ensuring that they are thoroughly investigated and that an optimal solution is delivered to the user/customer

  • Continuously evaluate the existing processes and procedures to ensure that Incident Management and Change Management are being carried out in the most efficient and effective manner, and initiates appropriate corrective action

  • Ensure that the defined Incident and Change Management processes and procedures are adopted and followed by the team, and initiate trainings when appropriate to correct non-conformance

  • Continuously evaluate the existing Service Management tools to ensure that they are configured to meet the requirements of the defined process and procedures, and when changes are made to the process and procedures ensure that this is reflected in the Service Management tool

  • Play an active role in thechange management activities when needed

  • Lead the resolution of major incidents

  • Provide management information related to the Incident and Change Management process and the Service Desk on a frequency determined by the IT Manager

  • Track and monitor project milestones and deliverables and report on development from project start to completion on a frequency defined by IT Manager

  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

  • Install and configure systems such as supports Sensata infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications.

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs

  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.

  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.

  • Upgrade and configure system software that supports Sensata infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.

  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.


EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years in IT Project Management, ideally with experience in both infrastructure and application management

  • Experience within an international, fast moving and complex environment is a must.

  • Prior experience with change management is a plus

  • 3 years of proven progressive performance in IT, demonstrating in-depth proficiency of system and network theory and practice combined with hands-on experience in specific information technology area.

  • 3 years in a corporate environment and/or consulting organization,

  • Relevant experience in the IT function (application management, program management, solution delivery)

  • Experience working in an ITIL environment including strong change control and configuration and release management practices

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Understanding of IP/ Ethernet/ WAN based Networks

  • knowledge of best practices pertaining to Service Provider/ Enterprise LAN/ WAN designs networking background

  • Broad line of Cisco network devices including different models of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, ACS and VoIP solutions.

  • Routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, RIP

  • Ability to manage Windows DNS, knowledge of different DNS record types and ability to identify and implement Microsoft best practices as they relate to global AD deployment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge in analytical methods and practices as well as ability to conduct analyses of problems and/or issues affecting the network and recommend approaches and procedures in resolution of multifaceted IT problems

  • Strong comprehension and understanding of business needs as well as service and technical implications

  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory administration and architecture design. Must be proficient in AD and be able to diagnose issues using tools.

DISCRETION/LATITUDE/DECISION-MAKING

  • Decisions normally have a noticeable effect department-wide and company-wide, and judgment errors can typically require one to two weeks to correct or reverse.

COMMUNICATIONS/INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:

  • Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices.

  • Provides occasional guidance, some of which is technical.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.

  • Travel required.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor or master degree, preferably in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent through work experience
