Sensata Technologies, Inc. Process Development Engineer in Sofia, Bulgaria
Within the department Product Management Team (PMT) of the Sensors business in Sofia we have a vacancy for a Process Development Engineer. The PMT is responsible for development, build and installation of the production processes.
Most important tasks and responsibilities:
Develop new production processes and/or adapt existing production processes for the assembly, calibration and testing of automotive sensors;
Define specifications for production equipment and interact with Mechanization (in house) and/or equipment suppliers to ensure equipment will meet specifications;
Participate in global New Product Development (NPD) project teams to enable successful launch of new products;
Keep in contact with other departments on process specifications, quality aspects, product specifications and continuity of equipment.
BS or MS in mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
3-5 years’ experience as a process or design engineer;
Experience with Agile, Minitab and SolidWorks a plus;
Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word;
Excellent communication skills in English written and verbal;
Engineering aptitude to participate in design reviews and assist during debug & qualification;
Ability to identify & correct problems by utilization of root cause problem solving skills and experimental methods such as DOE;
Functional understanding of advanced quality planning tools including FMEA, Control plans, to meet TS16949 requirements;
Experience with manufacturing processes such as SMT, glazing, sintering, laser welding, laser incision, sandblasting etc. is desired but not mandatory;
Experience with high volume, high quality manufacturing is preferred vs. batch process or very low volume manufacturing environments;
Experience with automotive OEM’s and/or Tier 1 suppliers is also a plus.
