Sensata Technologies, Inc. Commercial Finance Analyst – Vehicle Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria

Sensata is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst for our Vehicle Business Unit in Europe, who will support the business unit revenue planning, reporting, and market analysis efforts in the region. The person will collaborate during the revenue forecast development providing strong business partnership for the BU Leadership Team.

This position investigates market & sales trend opportunities and provides recommendations to management regarding current market conditions and demand. In addition, this role requires collaboration with several functional groups in the organization including, but not limited to, marketing, business finance, supply chain planning and customer service.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization

  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials

  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools

  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation

  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Key responsibilities:

  • Support revenue planning activities for Sensata’s Europe Vehicle business unit revenue and market-based demand projections

  • Provide transparency and create common understanding about the company’s short- and long-term top line performance by maintaining and further enhancing common processes around:

  • Analysis of relevant Europe's Vehicle end market metrics. Perform ongoing market analytics for all relevant regional markets; monitoring and development of leading indicators/correlations to be proactive in risk/opportunity signaling & management

  • Application of market knowledge in the revenue and demand planning efforts, resulting in creation of market driven bottoms-up demand and revenue outlooks

  • Monthly actuals review and forecast planning efforts. Lead annual revenue planning efforts across the BU;

  • Support processes accompanying the definition of revenue streams related to the company’s long-range (5 year) plan (STINT) and Annual Plan.

  • Provide direct support to BU Leadership team in all matters related to market analytics, revenue performance and planning, customer-specific analytics

  • Partner with the BU FP&A teams to ensure demand and revenue plans are aligned to direct and indirect cost planning efforts;

  • Partner with Sensata’s Supply Chain Planning team to provide transparency in demand drivers and demand changes

  • Support efforts around quarterly BOD and Earnings Release updates providing market and revenue performance and planning analytics

Additional Experience & Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Statistics.

  • 2-5 years relevant experience in product research, financial planning and analysis, or demand forecasting

  • Competitive analysis experience

  • Good presentation skills

  • Ability to articulate assumptions, methods, and results to peers and management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.

  • Excellent attention to detail combined with solid data interpretation; ability to synthesize and critically analyze disparate data sources.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Access.

  • Demonstrated experience in working with regression analysis, financial forecasting, and statistical analysis

  • Experience working with foreign currencies preferred.

  • Experience working with Oracle ERP and Oracle Demantra tools preferred

  • Ability to work in a collaborative global environment under tight timelines

  • Business-to-Business and/or industrial manufacturing and automotive industry experience would be a plus
