The Product Management Team (PMT) of the Performance Sensing business in Bulgaria is responsible for development of the production processes and for the overall operational management of the business. This includes defining the manufacturing strategy, capacity planning, financial forecasting, new product development, product change management and achieving financial and operational goals. The Capacity Manager is focusing on strategic planning related to existing and future capacity requirements for the worldwide business in High Temperature Sensors (HTS). The function is located in the business center in Sofia with frequent travel to the production location in Botevgrad. The Capacity Manager reports to the Director PMT HTS Product Family, based in Hengelo, The Netherlands.
Most important tasks and responsibilities:
Strategic planning related to existing and future capacity requirements:
Internal capacity modeling development & management with the operations team
Buffer analysis driving to capacity related capital projects
Manage and update the chosen capacity model as overall communication tool
Lead utilization of capacity modeling tool given the inherent complexities of HTS products produced in Botevgrad and develop this to a global model
Support GNPD and Make Site decisions given growth, mix shifts, and capabilities
Verify & reply to customer capacity commitment requests
Program management for capacity expansion:
Integrated Move Process (IMP) or Change Management (CM) leadership for key capacity expansions
Alignment with the quality organizations to ensure customer approvals in time to utilize capacity
Assessment of asset location/movement between Make locations to drive best utilization
Development & execution of initiatives to drive improved operational efficiency and cost structure associated with installed capacity:
Includes OEE, cost of capital, and other traditional operational considerations
Includes link to GNPD teams and awareness on how design/process decisions effect capital, flexibility (and cost of), and overall fit to the process
Master degree in supply chain management or business administration with technical skills and >4-5 years working experience.
Bachelor degree in supply chain management or business administration with technical skills and >7-9 years working experience.
Supply Chain Management skills and experience
Project management skills and experience to lead multidisciplinary global teams
Excellent communication skills, written and verbally, in English language.
Able to build and sustain relationships and influence others in an international context.
Good knowledge of Operational Management on capacity management, production planning, basic logistics and process engineering.
Good understanding of (automotive) quality systems and control.
Good social skills to initiate and drive activities in various production sites in other countries.
Able to effectively interact with customers.
Pro-active attitude and clearly capable of setting priorities.
Knowledge of MS-Office software (MS-Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook) with preferred experience to use of macros and working with relationship databases
Prepared to travel on a regular basis inside Bulgaria and on an occasional basis internationally.
