What are you going to do?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to lead the Product & Program Management Team (PMT). This individual will be an integral member of our rapidly growing automotive sensors business. Being part of the Product Management Team, you will be at the forefront of driving the decisions to shape the success of highly visible projects. In this position you are responsible for developing plans for various projects manage both business & technology risks, meet challenging schedules, and drive results. This position offers a great opportunity to lead global teams and to travel globally in a fast-paced, growth oriented, automotive environment.

The company is looking for a strong business and program management professional with an engineering background who has a demonstrated track record for program execution, operations management, customer management, and profit improvement. You must be a strong talent developer and effective leader for the team of 6-8 direct reports. Additionally, this individual must be able to effectively develop and leverage global teams to drive execution to the committed goals.

Success in this position requires good organizational savviness, good team-building and influencing skills with internal teams and external teams. This position requires keen negotiating with internal and external teams to develop a win-win situation for the business and customers. You will also need to exercise good judgment: Strong interpersonal skills are needed to work effectively with all levels within the organization, suppliers, and customers. This role requires someone who is eager to excel in a fast paced environment working on highly complex projects.

What are your tasks and responsibilities?

  • Manage, motivate and develop 6-8 Program/Project Managers locally and remotely; align priorities and ensure results;

  • Manage and ensure discipline to standardized internal processes for execution of new product development and change management;

  • Drive top line goals through active margin management of current business via monthly performance reviews, and develop roadmaps for future margin growth with driving alignment with operations and purchasing teams to achieve objectives;

  • Evaluate business proposals through cost estimating and discounted cash flow analysis;

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, process engineering, marketing, sales, planning, quality assurance, and operations in support of business goals;

  • Optimize and help solving problems in existing production processes.

What is your background?

  • BS in Engineering is required. Masters in Management or an MBA is preferred;

  • You have excellent leadership qualities and experience with managing professionals, you are result-oriented, excellent planning with a strong focus on Customers (OEMS);

  • 10 years of relevant experience in program, project, product and/or operations management experience in a high-technology environment with experience in financial management;

  • Working knowledge of business finance (e.g. income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and business case assessment through discounted cash flow analysis;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English;

  • Familiarity with AIAG requirements and TS16949 quality system requirements is a plus.
