Function

In the role of Field Application Engineer your primary goals re to successfully serve our customers (within the area of Human interface products for materials handling) with providing technical consult regarding the fit of our products into their applications to assure new business generation as well as making with support of our internal organization to bring these products into production on time and at the right quality.

Task & Responsibilities

  • Become the first line of contact for technical consult to our customers

  • Gathering information and building knowledge of applications and translate this in innovative product solutions.

  • Taking the lead in technical initiatives towards customers to generate new business opportunities

  • Manage the launch of new projects between the customer and our internal organization

  • Coordinating product analysis and advising the customer in case of quality events to obtain sustainable solutions (8D, FMEA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Science or Engineering (mechanical or electrical)

  • Minimal 5 years of experience in B2B customer support or sales

  • Customer focused, and able to transfer the customer needs internally

  • Excellent communication skills oral and written in German, English, and preferably French

  • Pro-active attitude for continuously improving performance and drive for results; customer focus and can-do mentality.

  • Strong organizing skills, and ability to work independently

  • Creative thinker that can turnaround a challenge into an opportunity

  • Willing to work in an international environment and willing to travel (10-30%)
