Sensata Technologies, Inc. Equipment Maintenance Engineer in Changzhou, China


Manage overall equipment efficiency to achieve high performance in terms of speed, costs and quality. Participate / organize meetings with internal team members or across functions.


  • Focus on equipment OEE (Overall Equipment effectiveness) improvement through reducing mini-step and conducting effective preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance to prevent machine unscheduled shutdown.

  • Arrange equipment/fixtures/tooling PM as per schedule to reduce unscheduled down time and extend their service life span.

  • Manage spare parts with efficiency and low cost-control the part stock level, consignment, regular stock counting and replenishment in time to ensure the continuity of production activities.

  • Keep communication channel with global team and vendors for project transfer and new product launch in equipment portion.

  • Manage related document alignment with Quality Systems requirement.

  • Support implementation of new production equipment.

  • Support and implement all planned, unplanned and current repair production equipment.

  • Support and suggest proposals for purchasing of spare parts.

  • Propose corrective actions in case of equipment inconformity with technological requirements and equipment infrastructure.

  • Provide information to line manager for corrective equipment actions that might cause accidents.

  • Observe health, safety and environment company policy.


  • B.S. degree or above, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent areas.

  • Above 5 Years of experience in equipment function.

  • Able to read Schematic and mechanical drawing and use AutoCAD.

  • Good knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, maintenance systems and be familiar with manufacturing processes.

  • Basic knowledge of equipment including PLC or Vc++/Vb or Visual studios or CM51 programming is preferred.

  • Sound understanding of Quality Systems/tools with the ability to audit equipment areas of system requirements. Basic knowledge of ESH and TPM. Strong safety awareness.

  • Good people communication/management skills to drive results.

  • Good English language ability in reading, writing and speaking.

  • Possess good interpersonal / communication.

  • Familiar with a wide range of test method, analytical methodology, failure analysis and product analysis.

  • Planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task.

  • Self directed and driven for success (result oriented). Ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external customers.
