Sensata Technologies, Inc. Electrical & Instrumentation Facilities Engineer in Botevgrad, Bulgaria
Reporting to the Eastern Europe Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for Electrical & Instrumentation engineering provision, primarily on capital projects but also in support of sites maintenance /development on all Sensata sites in Bulgaria.
Primary responsibilities include:
Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation support of and input into planning, costing, justification, management and implementation of capital projects, in close co-ordination with colleagues and facilities management, primarily technically but also commercially, tracking tasks and projects to successful conclusion.
Providing a strong technical contribution on both capital projects and ongoing sustaining or development activities as required across all sites in the region.
Ensuring that performance metrics data is provided in conjunction with corporate practices, and that data is assimilated and reported accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensuring that all activities are in compliance with local statutory and other necessary regulatory requirements relating to facilities, environmental impacts, safety, and health (ESH) requirements. Compliance with corporate standards of provision is essential.
Work in close co-operation with the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) team, and ensure that these standards are implemented in all tasks and project works.
The role will require significant working with external service providers, contractors, statutory and local government bodies. At all times, such work must be to the highest standard of professionalism and probity.
The role will require working in close cooperation with other teams within the organization on joint projects or tasks. This will require the highest standards of honesty, integrity and respect for others to be shown at all times.
Job Requirements (Minimum):
Qualified to Bachelor’s Degree level, the candidate must have a strong educational background.
A minimum of 5 years, but ideally 8+ years of industrial working experience will be essential. Ideally this will be in a manufacturing and/or engineering and/or facilities provision role/s.
As the role will often require close co-operation with internationally based colleagues, in addition to fluency in Bulgarian, strong English language skills will be very advantageous, both verbally and written. Knowledge of common European languages will also be useful.
As the role will require travel, primarily domestically but also occasionally internationally, the candidate must possess a valid (ideally unendorsed) driving license, and have a valid passport. The candidate should also be prepared to undertake air travel.
The post will require strong interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing, working effectively within local cultures and also internationally with colleagues from all over the world. The ability to interact effectively with wider groups will also be essential.
It is anticipated that up to 30% of local/domestic travel between local sites may be required. International travel will be a possibility, but typically less than 5%.
The candidate should have strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint etc.), MS Project and excellent CAD skills e.g. AutoCAD or similar. Ability to use Sensata specific software packages will also be required, with any necessary training being provided.
