Sensata Technologies, Inc. Manager Information Security in Attleboro, Massachusetts

We are in search of a Manager of Information Security who can be hands-on with technology while managing people resources and projects. This role will work under the direction of the Director of Information Security, serving as an expert technical resource responsible for the care and maintenance of current technology, as well as the procurement, deployment and maintenance of new, related technologies. This role includes understanding of and involvement with not only security technologies, but Incident Response, Data Forensics, eDiscovery, Disaster Recovery, and aspects of Data Privacy, IT Compliance, IT Risk Management, Data Privacy, IT Audit, Security Awareness and Communication.

  • Responsible for Security Operations and Incident Response

  • Responsible for Forensics and eDiscovery

  • Identifies, evaluates, and recommends new products and technologies that align with business objectives.

  • Develops and communicates technical, systems and application standards and ensures compliance with existing standards.

  • Creates and maintains systems documentation for testing and validation

  • Performs post-implementation support, identifying root cause with strategic solutions to problems

  • Works with vendors to analyze and troubleshoot solutions

  • Contributes to the project planning of hardware and software procurement process

  • Leads and trains fellow information security team members in organizational security tools and processes

  • Custodian of the Information Security knowledge store used by the information security team

  • This is a technical hands-on role

  • Team management

Job Requirements:

  • 4 year degree plus 5-8 years advanced information security experience.

  • Strong understanding of and experience with security technologies, including some of the following: Next Generation Firewalls, Web Filtering, Endpoint Protection, Encryption, Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence Platforms, SIEM, Network Access Control, Intrusion Prevention, Advanced Anti-malware, Access Control Systems, Risk Assessments, Database Security, and OS Security

  • Strong background in scripting technologies & automation to reduce overhead and streamline efficiencies

  • Requires strong knowledge of control frameworks, as well as Information Security compliance requirements to numerous legislative and industry standards such as SOX 404, SANS 20 CSC, ISO 27001 / 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST, MA 201 CMR 17.00, etc.

  • Manufacturing industry experience a plus

  • Experience using ticketing tool to react to failures, requests and escalations

  • Ability to provide 24x7 system support (on-call as needed)

  • 15% travel may be required

  • Strong communication; written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Detail oriented and well organized

  • Ability to manage demands of internal and external customers through phone, email and process requests

  • Strong organizational skills to manage fast paced and demanding requests in a defined service level

  • Ability to team with other groups to influence the collection of information required to generate a response

  • The job requires the ability to make judgments based on practice and past precedence

  • The job requires the ability to evaluate complex situations and novel situations using multiple sources of information

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.Job Preferences:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, OSCP and ITIL

  • Security Operations Center leadership experience
