Sensata Technologies, Inc. Communications Summer Intern in Attleboro, Massachusetts
In this role, the Communications Intern will split their time in both internal and external communications initiatives. This role reports to the Social Media and Internal Communications Specialist and will be part of a larger Global Corporate Communications team. This individual will play an integral role in an employer branding initiative, develop and implement a targeted social media campaign and have the opportunity to participate in a global communications team summit in July. He/She will gain valuable experience in a complex corporate organization supporting multiple business units, product lines and Global Service Organizations such as HR, Finance, Legal and IT. This is a paid internship for approximately 12 weeks.
Employer Branding Initiative (40% of the role)
Work with Communications, Talent Management & Recruiting teams to manage employer branding campaign that articulates Sensata’s employee value proposition and positions the Company as a great place to work to both potential and current employees. Support the overall employer brand project ensuring that project remains on track and budget. Highlight key qualities and differentiators and leverage communications platforms and tools such as social media, the Sensata website, employer review sites and others to convey the culture and employee experience.
Social Media (30% of the role)
Assist Social Media and Internal Communications Specialist with Sensata’s social media efforts to help build awareness of Sensata Technologies by planning, executing, measuring and reporting on effective social media campaigns. He/She will assist with the day-to-day management of Sensata’s various social media accounts and must be comfortable with multiple platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others. This person will help with content development, drafting posts and tracking engagement. He/She will closely align with the University Recruiting team to develop and implement a targeted social media campaign for Sensata’s summer engineering internship program.
Internal Communications (20% of the role)
Work with the Corporate Communications Manager on the development of content for all internal communications channels, including digital (email, intranet, mobile employee app, digital signage) on-site (signage, banners, etc.), and in-person (town halls, events). He/She will help with the creation of a variety of communications for the Global Intranet, blog posts, presentations at company events and associate onboarding. This individual will be asked to create compelling and engaging copy, infographics or video that can be used and optimized across multiple communications platforms.
External Communications/Public Relations (10% of the role)
Assist with development of external communications strategies and tactics including drafting press releases, media contact lists, company and product fact sheets, and other media materials as needed. Assist Communications team with preparation for and on-site support at press and/or other external events.

Must be available to start in early-June 2017 in Attleboro, MA
Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree, or currently enrolled in a full-time graduate or undergraduate degree program, in relevant field (Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism)
If currently a student, must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding)
Social media experience and familiarity with multiple social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to translate complex technical information into digestible copy/content
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage simultaneous tasks with competing deadlines in a fast-paced global company
