To design and develop roadmap TPMS and MEMS products within the Technology Development Team
This role is within the Technology Development Team which is responsible for the development of new features, performance improvements and cost reductions that form the technology roadmap for TPMS and MEMS products. As a member of the Technology Development Team you will be involved in taking these developments from initial concept to design validation and supporting their integration into the final product. The team works closely with the TPMS and MEMS business units, ASIC designers, external customers, suppliers and sales teams and is made up of engineers specialising in analogue design, MEMs, DSP, embedded software, mechanical design, mathematical simulation/modelling and automation.
In this role you will be responsible for
Designing electronic circuits and systems to create new products or add features to existing designs for TPMS and MEMS products
Supporting the development of pressure and motion MEMS devices
Developing measurement circuits and test equipment to enable the development and evaluation of new features
Using simulation and modelling tools such as Matlab to analyse data and develop systems prior to implementation
Working with our ASIC design partners to implement new features into our next generation ASICs
Engaging with suppliers to investigate opportunities to integrate new technologies for greater performance or lower cost
Conducting research and validate designs within your responsibility.
Coordinating prototype building, testing and validation & fault diagnosis for parts/products within remit
Ensuring that all defined company operating procedures are followed and adequate records maintained.
Knowledge or experience of some or all of the below would be advantageous but not essential.
Micro controllers and embedded software
Digital signal processing
Wireless data transmission
Low power/battery operated sensing systems
MEMS inertial and pressure sensors
Candidates must have a degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
