Position Summary

Software engineer develops, troubleshoots and solves production application /software issues. This engineer also ensures appropriate, accurate, up-to-date technical documentation is available for systems and logic and able to make decisions to ensure continuous production to meet both output and quality requirement.


Responsibilities

  • Full Lifecycle application development.

  • Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.

  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.

  • Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD).

  • Software simulation.

  • Front end and graphical user interface design.

  • Automation, performance tuning and improvement.

  • Support, maintain and document software functionality.

  • Software integration with existing systems.

  • Evaluate and identify new method and technology to be implemented to existing systems.

  • Project Planning.

  • Maintain standard and compliance.

  • Implement globalization of software if involving two or more site.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree or above, majoring in computer science, computer engineering, IT or its equivalent.

  • With at least 2 years of related working experience for PF1/2 position. OR

  • With at least 5 years of related working experience for PF3 position plus 1 or more year management experience is an advance plus:

  • Ability to solve technical (Software) problems with analytical mind and provide solutions.

  • Excellent knowledge in building core C++ (e.g console, Win32 API and MFC) application.

  • Experience with database environment (preferable SQL), OO design and development and knowledge about web-based architectures and technologies (.NET FRAMEWORK) is an advantage.

  • Possess good interpersonal / communication skills and able to interface at international/oversea levels with good English language ability in reading and writing.

  • Specifically for PF3 positions:

  • Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task. Self directed and driven for success (result oriented). Ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external customers.

  • Specifically for PF4 (MTS and above) positions:

  • Accumulated project savings exceeding a minimum of $1M with specific innovation or new ideas (versus executing on pre defined projects).

  • Main focus of responsibility needs to be on technical innovation and cross projects engagement in the past 3-5 years.
