Sensata Technologies, Inc. Lab engineer in Aguascalientes, Mexico

  • Full ownership of test equipment including proper usage and safety requirements and training.

  • Analysis of Equipment usage trends, down time, bottlenecks, etc

  • Calibration of Equipment, Preventative Maintenance Schedule, Spare parts library

  • Validating a test is run per Customer Specification

  • Using Data Acquisitions Systems to collect real-time data.

  • Analyzing system performance to look for anomalies.

  • Development testing, engineering analysis, qualification testing, production launch.

  • Continuous improvement and cost reduction projects on Laboratory.

  • Read and understand drawings and specifications.

  • Read and create procedures for testing parts.

  • Frequent interaction with customers and internal management.

  • Collaboration with internal colleagues, and suppliers.

  • Meeting and exceeding customer requirements and expectations on schedule and in budget.

  • Learning about in-house and supplier manufacturing technologies.

  • Learning about customer systems where our parts are used.

  • Internal and external Audits.


  • BS, MEng, or MS in Mechanical Engineering

  • Ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to collaborate and influence effectively, at all levels, inside and outside the organization, and around the world.

  • Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles in all areas, and ability to apply principles flexibly in unfamiliar situations.

  • Creativity and innovation; persistence and drive to solve challenging problems and overcome obstacles.

  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions & present in a meaningful way

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • The ideal candidate will be highly organized and thorough, with a keen attention to detail

  • Knowledge with equipment calibration.

  • Knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems.

  • Knowledge with Internal and external Audits.
